How to Build Trust With Your Blog

If you have a blog and intend to use it for business, then one of the best investments you can make is earning the trust of your audience. Here are a few easy to apply tips that will help you create a more trustworthy blog.

Look at your self, you react much more positively when you are on a business site, and everything just works to create a feeling of professional organization. Whether it’s the quality of your content, your style of writing or simply the way you’ve laid out those small social media buttons below your post – you should be professional in every way. A professional looking blog can be defined by the things it does not do wrong. Make sure you avoid making any grammatical errors or spelling mistake that can be easily caught with a word processing program. Blog load times are tricky because some of the major news sites have so many active scripts that they can sometimes take forever to load which is something we think is pretty bad. Never underestimate the power of pictures with your written content, and among other things they lend a professional air; all things considered.

We have all seen terrible content in action, and what was probably the universal response and feeling? If you’re going to give them content that everybody else is giving then they’ll have no reason to trust you for quality. It takes a lot of work to create a profitable, long-lasting business with any type of site, blog or not, so do not ruin your chances with low quality content. What you really want to shoot for is content so unique that people will not bother trying to find it somewhere else. Have you not ever seen blog content that was so good and powerful that you were just in awe of it? You can use a combination of time-tested and always important information and newer information that reflects current trends.

So never ignore the importance of having the right kind of content on your blog because that’s what ultimately makes you stand out, and turns your blog into a trustworthy resource.

Other trust-builders include putting your contact information clearly on the contact page, and one biggie is having the guts to put your business phone number in there. If you are not comfortable doing that, then get an inexpensive 800 number with voicemail. You will find that most if not everybody will not abuse that or even call it. Obviously the best place to do this is on your contact page. Do not be afraid to tell people some things about you so they feel like they are forming a positive connection. At some point you can cross a threshold in which it becomes apparent that your niche market audience is feeling pretty good about you.
